Cynthia Spencer Hospice appeals for headline sponsor for the nineteenth ‘Cycle4Cynthia’

The much-loved Northamptonshire charity, Cynthia Spencer Hospice, is seeking a prominent local business to come to the rescue as its headline sponsor for Cycle4Cynthia – the flagship fundraising cycle event returning to Althorp Estate on 25th September.

A new 10 mile route has been introduced this year ideal for the more adventurous families who may have outgrown the 5 mile route which, for the first time this year, is on completely closed roads making it even safer for little ones.

Goodrich Consulting are joining the sponsorship line-up for the first time this year and property and letting sales company, Chelton Brown, are staying in the sponsorship saddle for the 8th year running.

The charity is also appealing to the county’s cyclists to sign up for the bike ride as a fun, family-friendly, day out while supporting a good cause – with a bouncy castle, face painting and other attractions for little ones and families to enjoy together.

Olivia Smith of Goodrich Consulting said:

“Cynthia Spencer Hospice is a charity that has touched the hearts of so many over the years, which is why Goodrich Consulting is immensely proud to be supporting them for another year.

Over the past few weeks, the team have squeezed back into their lycra and have been clocking up the miles in preparation for the mammoth 50 miler in September. We are thrilled to be putting on the Cycle4Cynthia jersey again and riding alongside our clients and colleagues across the Northamptonshire countryside for such an incredible cause.”

Chelton Brown Director, Edward Chelton Brown, said:

“Chelton Brown are proud to be part of Cycle4Cynthia again this year. Cynthia Spencer does so much fantastic work locally giving care to those who need it most so it’s great to be able do our part in supporting them. Cycle4Cynthia is always such a fantastic day that the team look forward to taking part in. We hope to see even more people than ever taking part and look forward welcoming them across the finish line.”

Nina Gandy, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser at Cynthia Spencer, said:

“We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support from local businesses for Cycle4Cynthia which helps us continue providing amazing care to the people of Northamptonshire. We are delighted to welcome Goodrich Consulting for the first time and to welcome back our long-standing sponsors Chelton Brown, EMW Law LLP, and Heygates Ltd but we still have room for our headline sponsor. If any businesses would like to talk to me about this sponsorship opportunity, I’d love to hear from them on 01604 973348 or email nina@cynthiaspencer.co.uk.”

The 2021 event was the first live event the hospice could hold since the start of the pandemic and raised an impressive £40,043 for the hospice.

Registration for this year’s event is open online at www.cycle4cynthia.co.uk/registration/C4C2022 and teams can also register by calling the fundraising team on 01604 973340.
