Saints stars spur on shirt selection!

Northampton Saints stars have yet again shown their support for the county’s favourite annual fundraising bike ride by helping in the search to select the design of the event’s new bespoke cycle shirt!

Jim Mallinder, Dylan Hartley and Sam Dickinson, who have all taken part in Cycle 4 Cynthia – which this year hopes to raise more than £60,000 for Cynthia Spencer Hospice – modelled the three designs and visitors to the Hospice’s social media sites were then asked to vote for their favourite!

The chosen design, a blue shirt sported in the picture by Jim (centre), is now available to purchase for just £25 and thanks to the generous sponsorship of Blue Step Solutions, Triad and Towergate Insurance Brokers, every penny will go the Hospice.

John Helm, the Hospice’s Fundraising Manager, is now encouraging riders from the event’s eleven year history and those taking part this September at Althorp to get their hands on a shirt – and quickly! “We’re incredibly grateful to our three sponsors and of course the rugby boys for helping us launch this new shirt because every one sold will enable us to continue our vital work in caring for our patients and their families,” explained John.

“I can’t think of a better way to show your support for the hospice and of course have a great memento from such a wonderful ride which you can keep wearing for years to come, but I’d urge cyclists to get in touch sooner rather than later as we’re expecting them to be very popular!” he added.

To see the shirt in its full colour glory, please visit www.cycle4cynthia.co.uk and to buy a jersey, please call Jayne at the Hospice on 01604 678082.

Cycle 4 Cynthia 2015, offering riders of all ages and abilities routes of 5, 25 and 50 miles, returns to its former home of Althorp on Sunday 13th September, starting from 9am. Entry is £15 for adults, £7.50 for children and £35 for families (with the fee rising after 28th August).

More details, including downloadable entry and sponsorship forms and online registration, are now available at www.cycle4cynthia.co.uk while you can also follow the latest news on the ride on Facebook.

Meanwhile, with prizes offered for the best fancy dress and the largest corporate team to take part, any businesses wishing to enter or sponsor the event are invited to call Sue Bownass at the Hospice on 01604 678088.
